HOW WE BEGAN

Grace Church began as Grace Baptist Church in 1984 when seven families from the Emmetsburg area, who worshiped at First Baptist Church in Curlew, developed a God-given vision and seized the opportunity to establish a solid, fundamental church in their own community.  These families organized themselves, assumed the property, and Grace Baptist Church was born!  
 
By God’s grace the church has grown steadily since that time.  In 1988 the present land was purchased, and in 1989 the building which houses the offices and nursery  was moved to this location.  On May 27, 2001 we added new foyer space and educational/fellowship area in the basement.  On June 24, 2006 we met for the first time in our new auditorium!  All glory and praise belong to the Lord our God for making all things possible! 
 
Grace Church is an independent Baptist church in fellowship with the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches and the Iowa Association of Regular Baptist Churches.
